Mettler Center, LLC was started in 1990 by Paul Mettler, PT, DPT as a private physical therapy clinic. In 1995 it expanded into fitness and in 1997 relocated to our current facility at Village Crossing, adding massage therapy, nutrition counseling and personal training. We currently serve over 1500 members but have many programs and services for non-members. With 3 group fitness studios, we offer the best in group fitness including indoor cycling, strength training, yoga, Pilates, senior classes and more. In 2007 our second location, Mettler Athletic, opened at 1809 S Neil St. That location also offers fitness and physical therapy as well as sports performance training.

How long have you been in business?
Started in 1990 as a private physical therapy clinic. Have been at current location, 2906 Crossing Court, Champaign, since 1997.
What is your primary product or service?
Physical therapy and fitness. Our Physical Therapy department was selected "Best Private Practice" in 2003 by Advance Magazine, a physical therapy trade journal. We have 5 physical therapists and one certified hand therapist.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Paul Mettler is a physical therapist who started private clinic in 1990. Saw a need for a fitness facility that emphasizes healthy habits, safety, non-threatening environment and an overall wellness lifestyle.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We try to incorporate a comprehensive wellness program, offering medical fitness, youth fitness, senior programs, nutrition, massage, physical therapy, nutrition and Mettler University, which provides informational classes to members and non-members on a variety of wellness topics.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
2 locations. Mettler Athletic was opened in April of 2007 and offers fitness, personal training and physical therapy as well as sports performance training. We have no plans at this time to expand.

Take Windsor road west, right before you reach Duncan Road you will see Crossing Court to your right. We are the L-shaped building in the corner of Crossing Court. Mettler Athletic is located off of Neil St and Fox Drive right next to Northwestern Mutual.
